Everyone slept in again. So we didn't open the curtains until 9:30am. The sun was blazing. What a contrast to yesterday.
We all love to watch the news in the morning so we clicked on CNN and stayed in bed for another half and hour. I then rang the ski shop and they said the weather was gorgeous and we should come up. So we set off for the hour journey at 10:30 am having some breakfast on the way in the RV.
The roads had been plowed and salted and the ascent was for easier than yesterday and when we arrived we saw the truth in what the rental shop had promised. An ideal skiing day. We skied until we dropped. All thoughts of yesterday were banished. Skiing was the best thing in the world.
We came down the mountain around 4:00pm and headed back to the hotel. I had already booked another night as I by then had realised that I now had a reliable internet connection and had to file my UK tax return by midnight (UK time) on the 31st January.
The hotel had a brilliant swimming pool with the hottest water of any pool I have ever been in. So after our skiing we all went swimming for half an hour and then dipped into the hot tub (oh bliss) for another 10 minutes. We got some more food and I put the boys to bed. They were asleep in minutes. Then I started on my tax. I had it completed in 3 hours but filed it 5 hours into February 1st. I am sure they will let me off. I think they did once before.
