We have one day left before we get going again.
In the morning the whole family is asked into the Christian School class 5 to do a presentation and question and answer session on our trip. There were about 10 children in the class and there was a world map on the blackboard. We described our trip from London to Japan and showed them where we were to travel onto from here. Sammy and Julian were able to add valuable comments to what Julie and I presented so that the children got to see what the trip was like through the eyes of other children. It was quite good fun and all the children took copious notes as they were going to be tested on it all later. The Japanese girls in the class were particularly attentive.
Later in the morning our host takes us to Nara Park which is the home to 100s of dear and a huge temple to Buddah. There was quite alot of opposition from the boys about going out again (they are "traveled out" now) but once we saw the deer and how tame they were all thoughts of mutiny were abandoned.
In the evening we entertain Sammy's new friend Toshi, his Mum and 6 or 7 other guests at our hosts. There seems no end to the hospitality that our hosts can provide in their home. Julie helped by preparing a curry which was immediately devoured by the gathered party. It was just as well that we had food left over from church on Sunday.
